Ground Breaking Ceremony for the New Branch of the School for Mentally Retarded Children in Relau, Penang
Under its corporate social responsibility programme, Ideal Property Group contributed a piece of 1.38 acres land situated in Relau for the construction of the School for Mentally Retarded Children Penang (Relau Branch). To further materialized the school project, the school’s building which is estimated to cost approximately RM6million will be fully funded by Ideal Property Group.
A Groundbreaking Ceremony was held last Saturday, 31 March 2018 and it was a great honor to have Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng to officiate the ceremony.
Ideal Property Group places great importance in education including education for special needs children. Under the Group’s “I Love Edu” programme, continuous efforts were being made to provide better learning environments to the younger generations.
Ideal Property Group hopes that the new branch of School for Mentally Retarded Children Penang will be able to cater to the increased numbers of the students as well as lightening up the burden of the students who currently need to travel to Jalan Dato’ Keramat for their daily education.
The site will house a two-storey building featuring tropical theme, comprising of 18 classrooms and a multi-purpose hall. Meantime, Ideal is looking forward to the opening of this new branch in 2 years.
