China based, INV New Material Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Shenzhen Senior Technology Material Co. Ltd., a prominent player in the global lithium battery separator industry, has marked a significant milestone with the launch of its inaugural plant in Malaysia.
Located at Penang Technology Park @ Bertam, INV has marked its place in history as the first battery separator factory within ASEAN. This project valued at RM6.4 billion and to be constructed in two phases, is set to produce a staggering 4 billion square meters of wet-process separators and coated separators annually.
INV is spanning over 66 acres, with a total built-up area exceeding 400,000 square meters. Once operating at full capacity, INV will proudly stand as the largest low-carbon separator production base in ASEAN.
The groundbreaking ceremony held at the Penang Technology Park @ Bertam was graced by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow to officially launch this cutting-edge facility.
